  1. This Feature Deprecation Policy ("Policy") describes how AskField handles the deprecation of features, APIs, and services.
  2. AskField is committed to providing advance notice and support when deprecating features to minimize disruption to our customers.

2. Feature Deprecation

AskField may deprecate features for various reasons, including:

  • Security or compliance requirements
  • Technical improvements and modernization
  • Low usage or adoption
  • Replacement with better alternatives
  • Changes in industry standards or best practices

3. Notice Period

  1. AskField will provide at least 90 days advance notice before deprecating a feature, unless required by law or security concerns to act sooner.
  2. Notice will be provided through email, in-app notifications, and updates to our documentation.
  3. For critical features, AskField may provide extended notice periods of 180 days or more.

4. Migration Support

When deprecating features, AskField will:

  • Provide migration guides and documentation
  • Offer support during the migration period
  • Provide alternative solutions or replacement features when available
  • Maintain backward compatibility when possible during the notice period

5. Alternatives

When a feature is deprecated, AskField will identify and communicate alternative solutions or replacement features. If no direct alternative exists, AskField will work with affected customers to find suitable solutions.
