1. The Basics

  1. AskField is committed to compliance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA).
  2. This CCPA Compliance statement outlines how AskField handles personal information of California residents and respects their privacy rights.
  3. AskField acts as a service provider when processing personal information on behalf of our customers, who are responsible for providing CCPA-compliant notices to their consumers.

2. Consumer Rights

Under CCPA, California consumers have the following rights:

  • Right to Know: Consumers have the right to request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, used, disclosed, or sold.
  • Right to Delete: Consumers have the right to request deletion of their personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to Opt-Out: Consumers have the right to opt-out of the sale of their personal information.
  • Right to Non-Discrimination: Consumers have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising their CCPA rights.
  • Right to Correct: Consumers have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to Limit Use and Disclosure: Consumers have the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information.

3. Disclosure Requirements

AskField provides transparency about our data practices, including:

  • Categories of personal information we collect
  • Sources of personal information
  • Business or commercial purposes for collecting personal information
  • Categories of third parties with whom we share personal information
  • Whether we sell personal information (AskField does not sell personal information)

4. Right to Opt-Out

AskField does not sell personal information. However, if we were to engage in such activities in the future, we would provide a clear and conspicuous "Do Not Sell My Personal Information" link and honor opt-out requests.

5. Non-Discrimination

AskField will not discriminate against consumers who exercise their CCPA rights. We will not deny goods or services, charge different prices, provide a different level or quality of services, or suggest that consumers will receive different treatment for exercising their rights.

6. Verification Process

When processing CCPA requests, AskField will:

  • Verify the identity of the consumer making the request
  • Respond to requests within 45 days (with a possible 45-day extension if needed)
  • Provide information free of charge, up to twice per 12-month period
  • Maintain records of consumer requests and responses
